Ministry of Health Affirms Government Vaccines Cannot be used for Mutual Cooperation Vaccines

The Ministry of Health emphasized that the Covid-19 vaccine that was set by the government for mass vaccination could not be used for mutual cooperation vaccine programs or vaccines carried out by companies.
"Gotong royong vaccines must be different from program vaccines. So Sinovac, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Novavax vaccines will not be used in mutual cooperation vaccines," said Director of Prevention and Control of Direct Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi. related to the provisions contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Health no. 18 of 2021. In an official statement explaining the regulation, the Ministry of Health said it gave permission to use the COVID-19 vaccine in the government's vaccination program and mutual cooperation vaccination. Nadia said that what was meant in the statement was that the government's vaccination program could use vaccines used in the mutual cooperation vaccination program, but not vice versa. For example, he said, when the government received a vaccine grant from a brand other than the one specified for the government's vaccination program, the vaccine could be used for government vaccinations.
