INDONESIA's Covid-19 Cases Reach 7,000, Indonesian Doctors Association Task Force: Raise PPKM Level!

Chairman of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Professor Zubairi Djoerban assessed that the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) needed to be further tightened after the daily Covid-19 cases in Indonesia reached 7,010 cases
Zubairi also encouraged the government to evaluate 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM) because it was considered no longer safe amid the surge in Covid-19 cases. "Break through 7,000 cases per day (26/1/2022). Meanwhile, the positivity rate exceeded 10 percent. This is an indicator that face-to-face schools are no longer safe," said Zubairi as reported by his Twitter account @ProfesorZubairi, Thursday (27/1/2022). Therefore, Zubairi asked that 100 percent PTM no longer be applied in the red zone. According to him, it is better in the red areas of Covid-19 the learning process is carried out online again. "Please consider temporarily stopping the 100 percent PTM and raising PPKM to a higher level. Remember, hospital occupancy has increased by more than 30 percent at this time," he added. Meanwhile, for regions with low positivity rates, according to Zubairi, PTM is still possible.
