Jakarta is on alert for spike in cases
The surge in Covid-19 cases in the capital is anticipated by the DKI Jakarta Health Office by preparing 34 controlled isolation locations and lodging for health workers.
The 34 new places add to the three previously assigned locations. Fify Mulyani, Head of the Public Health Division of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, explained that the preparation of the new location was contained in DKI Jakarta Governor Decree Number 675 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Governor's Decree Number 979 of 2020 concerning Controlled Isolation Locations belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the Context of Handling Covid-19 19. The governor's decree stated that there were 37 locations. Three locations have been determined through the Governor's Decree No. 979/2020, the remaining 34 new locations have been determined in the new Governor's Decree. "The provision of the new location is to anticipate if there is a spike in cases. If the occupancy rate at Wisma Atlet is more than 80 percent, then the isolation area prepared by the DKI Provincial Government will be used," he said. From the records of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, for the addition of daily positive cases in the last two days more than 1,000 cases. Head of the Disease Prevention and Control Division of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Dwi Oktavia, explained that from the PCR test on 10,893 specimens from 7,625 people, 1,019 positive cases and 6,606 negative cases were found.
